If Diners, Drive-In's and Dives on the Food Network does not get you excited about food and travelin', I have no idea what will, and further more I have moved on.
Last night's episode, he was in St. Paul, Boston and Houston...and as usual, I am scribbling down names, names of dishes, locations, ingredients, etc., and watching techniques, and noting those too.
We were in Boston last summer and hit the paces we had heard of on his very show and then some; Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage @ Harvard (only Guy place we made it too); these spots were just reommended elsewhere: Legal Seafood, The Barking Crab, Wagamama (the only one in the US; last time I ate at one was in London - Covent Garden in 2002); Mike's Pastry, and Dolce Vita (excellent little Italian spot in the North End).
I have a list of places I want to go to on Urbanspoon and at home on a spreadsheet that are all Guy places and thensome!
Ah, food....

First Post
While although not new to blogging much less writing (too bad it's not talking, because my uncle always said I talk too much...as the old, bad and insensitive joke goes; "I could talk the ears off a wooden Indian"); but this new blog for me is about food, something I enjoy making, creating, eating and just seeing...it's completely human nature, food is #1.
What is Maslow's 1st law...survival, and what does survival entail? Food!
What do people all over the world do without question everyday besides go to the bathroom, eat.
I knew some guys in college, who formed their very own fraternity, Sigma Alpha Tau or EAT; and they would do just that, meet and eat; and those boys could put it away.
I also remember this guy in college who would eat lots of food, and always get 5-6 drinks at a time; turns out he was in excellent shape, and ran everyday...he needed all those calories, so he could go out and run them off and start over.
So, without further adieu, I begin blogging about food, the foodie phenomena and the fact that this is not about being gourmet, as nothing is refined in my life and I want it that way...
